This is Arrow 34. We are a small Twin Cities creative agency that believes in the power of bold design and storytelling to help small businesses take off. If you're ready for something bigger, we're ready to get you there. Let's go for it.

What we do
A34 specializes in helping businesses grow by making bold creative services accessible, easy, and budget-friendly. We’re too small to be pretentious, too energetic to be boring, and too impatient to be slow.

we are different
A34 believes in using great design and smart marketing strategy to help tell your story. It’s about listening, understanding, and then creating something bold and effective.
We strive to be an “un-agency” — which means we want to keep things easy, fun, and straightforward. If we’re going to create some Facebook ads for you, that’s what we’re going to do. Those ads will kick ass, and you’ll be impressed with the results. We’re not going to try to impress you by calling it “using our expertise in digital marketing to develop and implement a multi-faceted social media campaign.” We impress with our results, not our pitch.

Woodland Bank gets a bold new look
Woodland Bank is a community bank in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, with a modern, innovative approach to banking. As they approached their 100th anniversary, they looked to build a new brand that matched their innovative style.
Through Cooks Bay Marketing, Arrow 34 was able to create that bold new look and a successful launch campaign to announce that change.
Only very small changes were made to the wordmark, and the icon changed from a “rough and rustic” tree to three abstract “arrow trees.” (You may have noticed Dana likes a to use arrows.) Grand Rapids is on the Mississippi, where the river was dammed for a paper mill. The bank owners felt the river should be represented in the logo as well, and you can see that the river flows in from the left in one stream, is collected, and flows out as one stream again. Pretty dam good, right?
Our tagline for the very successful launch was “Woodland Bank is different. Just like it’s always been.” And right from the start, we’re using the new Woodland arrows in all sorts of fun ways.

Dana Croatt
Founder and Creative Director
Dana is an innovative creative director, graphic designer, art director, copy writer and photographer based in the Twin Cities. And though his name may not suggest it, he is actually a male. He apologizes for the confusion.
Dana founded Arrow 34 because he was tired of seeing businesses either paying an agency too much to overthink straightforward projects, or getting bad design from cheap online places. He knew good design, at an affordable price, with straightforward communication was possible.
Before A34, Dana's career focus was publishing, on both the editorial and advertising sides. He has more than 15 years of experience in design and copy writing, and has focused specifically on small business marketing for the last three years.
Dana lives in Maple Grove with his wife and two kids. In his free time he enjoys golf, beer, ping pong, fantasy football and reading. He also thoroughly enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
Sarah Jackson
Copy Writer
Sarah has worked as a writer, editor and social media machine for more than 20 years. She’s won numerous awards for her writing and editing, including work for national and local magazines and newspapers. She loves working with words and images to tell stories, build brands and delight and engage audiences of all kinds.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her school-age son, playing tennis, growing vegetables and dining out.
Krystl Adams
Marketing Assistant
Krystl joined Dana’s team in June of 2019. She has spent the last 18 years managing three dance studios, including taking on the role of social media and marketing for the studios, along with teaching dance to all ages. She is excited to branch out and expand her work experience with Arrow 34.
Krystl lives in Maple Grove with her husband and two children. In her spare time (which is not a lot) she enjoys being outdoors, being creative, golfing, and spending time with her friends and family.
